This edition of “A Little Bit” deals with a staff member with quite the work experience resume.

Since her parent worked for the State Department, her early education varied.  She attended elementary school in Iran, middle school in the United States, and high school in the Philippines.

After high school, she attended the University of Tennessee where she received her Bachelor’s degree.  She later received a Master’s degree in engineering from Auburn University and later earned a Master’s in education from Virginia Tech.

Her work experience includes working as an industrial engineer with Levi Strauss in Tennessee and Texas, as a teaching assistant at the University of Nebraska, at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas as a safety manager, and with the Associated Builders and Contractors in Las Vegas.

She later worked with the Las Vegas Police Department for 5 years as a safety manager, then moved to the Washington area working with OSHA as a safety and health specialist.

She then came to Brentsville and has been here for 15 years.

At Brentsville, she is the sponsor of the dance team, GSA, STEM Club, and the Tutoring Club.

Now you know “A Little Bit” about science teacher Sheryl Snell-Massie.
