After a long and successful season the Tigers track team finished  off with the state meet at Roanoke College. The meet was a good way to finish the winter season and get things ready for the spring season.

The tigers made many fond memories that they won’t forget. They had great experiences during their meet at Roanoke College.

Senior long jumper and 4X100 m relay runner James Brown commented,

“My fondest memory was being able to run with my teammates.”

“It was a fun time and the competition was good,” Brown added.

Many of the state track runners have a mentality or phrase that keeps them going and pushes them.

Junior Tyler Talavera said the phrase, “Slow feet don’t eat” keeps him going.

The state runners accomplished a lot this winter, but they still look to improve this upcoming spring season.

Senior 4X800 m and mile runner Sam Llaneza mentioned, “I met my goal this winter, but my expectations are higher for the spring season.”

The winter season was a success and the state meet was too, but the tigers look to improve and carry the momentum from the winter into the spring.
