With Alabama’s win over Ole Miss and Clemson barely escaping North Carolina, Alabama receives enough votes to cruise past Clemson and take the No. 1 spot in the College Football AP Top 25.

Beginning with a wild start to the 2019-20 college football season, Alabama once again has proved why they are the best in the nation. With the huge win over Ole Miss and their star players coming in with clutch drives, they walk their way past Clemson to No. 1. It all started from the big game with Tua Tagovailoa who led Alabama to an astonishing win over Ole Miss. He posted 418 yards going 26-36 and six touchdowns.

“I think Tua had the biggest impact this week with his five touchdowns through the air and one on the ground,” mentioned Junior Jason Mendoza, recalling on who had the biggest impact this week for Alabama.

It has been quite a struggle for Alabama since 2016, for they have only had one National Championship. This year is Alabama’s best chance to win the National Championship. With their five star QB Tua Tagovailoa, who is already a front runner for the Heisman and coming into what should be his best season yet. He is the projected number one pick for the 2020 NFL draft.

It’s a great opportunity for them this year, and this might be the year they win it all with their offensive lineman and QB leading the way.”

— Jason Mendoza

Alabama has always seemed to fight their way to the top every year by posting great numbers and showing why they are the best. Their consistent stats have all came around their coaching staff leading the way, especially coach Nick Saban. He has lead Alabama to six national championships and plans to make it seven this year. However it is not just the offense who carries the team; it is also their defensive crew who leads the team when Tua isn’t on the field. They are lead by five star defensive back Xavier McKinney who has posted 41 tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception through the first five games.

Although Alabama has made it look easy, they face their toughest test yet this week on the road against Texas A&M. Texas A&M is led by QB Kellen Mond and RB Isaiah Spiller on offense. On defense, LB Buddy Johnson and DB Keldrick Carper. Johnson and Carper lead the team. Johnson and Carper will bring tons of pressure off the line and forcing Tua to make big time plays. Alabama’s defense will have to step up as well trying to take away passes from Kellen Mond and rushes against Isaiah Spiller.

College fans all around the world are excited to see this top 25 match up take place. This is one game that will make or break Alabama’s season.
