Starting their season off with a Northwestern District Championship, the BDHS Golf team is paving their way into a potentially successful season.

With school only being in session for two months, the BDHS golfers have already had a couple of successful achievements accomplished. In September, the team competed in the Northwestern District tournament and placed first out of nine schools. In October, the BDHS golfers made their way to third place in regionals, which was a serious accomplishment due to numerous schools attending the tournament.

Isabel Bae, a junior on the team, placed eighth overall in the tournament.

“Everyone has really improved this year,” mentioned Bae.

With big tournaments ahead for the team, the players all created goals for themselves to “keep the grind” and stay focused on the championship titles.

“We’ve had a bunch of team discussions for strategies and have all focused on our weaknesses,” added Bae.

Bae and her teammate Barrett Butler both have an opportunity to compete in states. The two would represent Brentsville and the golf team here as a whole.

“I’m excited to see how this season plays out,” replied Bae. “Our team is stronger than ever, and the future can only hold more.”
