Often, if someone is asked what they want to do, their mind goes blank and they can’t think of anything. Luckily, this list has ideas for this upcoming season. Grab your friends and get ready for some fall fun! 

1. Football Games 

Football games are always exciting. Especially BDHS’ themed games. It is an opportunity to dress up and show school pride by cheering for dedicated the dedicated football team. Sierra Tannheiser, sophomore, says “I love going to football games and taking cool pictures at the games with my friends.” 

1. Cox Farms 

Cox Farms is a farm in Centreville, VA that holds an annual fall festival. During the day, they have family-friendly attractions. On Fridays and Saturdays after 7 p.m., Cox Farms starts their “Fields of Fear” experience. A walk through their spooky forest is sure to give you a fright. They also have a festival market and pumpkin patch that’s open every day. Their pumpkin patch is a perfect picturesque spot.  

1. Amusement Parks 

There are a couple amusement parks in Virginia that have Halloween themed thrills. The most popular parks are Kings Dominion and Six Flags. Kings Dominion holds an event called Halloween Haunt. Six Flags’ Halloween themed event is called “Fright Fest.” Ethan Hebert, sophomore, explained, “Theme parks are the perfect place to go during Halloween if you like getting scared.” 

1. Apple Picking 

Virginia is known for having several apple orchards with crisp and fresh apples. The closest apple orchard to BDHS is the Stribling Orchard. Stribling Orchard has a small petting zoo that people of all ages enjoy. Simran Chowdhury, Sophomore, says “I got apple picking almost every year with my family.” 

1. Bonfire 

Bonfires are perfect for chilly nights. It is a great way to spend time with friends and family. Snuggling up close to the fire will keep everyone from getting too cold. Hebert says, “whenever we have bonfires, we roast marshmallows and make s’mores.” S’mores are a fun treat that friends and family are guaranteed to enjoy.
