Former BDHS Tiger Jorge Cruz graduated from high school two years. Although it has only been a short time since attending the school, Jorge looks back on his time as a BDHS student.
Jorge played soccer in his senior year of high school. He says his favorite memory from High School came from his time on the soccer team, “My favorite moment at Brentsville would definitely have to be my senior night because it was one of my last games for my high school.” Although he has taken a break from the sport, Jorge plans to play soccer later on in college, “I’m currently at NOVA, however I do plan to return to Shenandoah and continue to play soccer their.”
Jorge also said what he would like to do after college, “I plan to work in the cyber security field after I graduate college, preferably I would like to be a network security advisor.” Even though it has been two years since his senior year at high school, Jorge recalls what he misses most about his time at BDHS, “I definitely miss seeing my friends everyday, I never realized how little you see them once you go to college.”
Although the school system has changed dramatically over the past year, Jorge still has solid advice for the students at BDHS, “My advice to the younger classes is to definitely enjoy your time at high school, it’s gonna be some of the best times of your life. Once college creeps up it just becomes another challenge.”
