Due to Covid-19, many seniors missed the opportunity to play in their final season in high school. Even so, many players still made loud enough noise to gain attention from colleges. Luckily, this was the case for several athleets at BDHS. After playing four years of high school football, BDHS super star Jake Johnson has committed to Bridgewater University.

Although Johnson had played both running back and line backer on Brentsville’s varsity football team, he has been regionally recognized at the linebacker position. Johnson also had his best moment on defense. “My favorite moment was the game winning interception against Kettle Run. I felt the energy from all of Nokesville.”

Johnson also said that his career at Brentsville has been amazing. “I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I have consistently been one of the best in the district and region.”

Johnson plans to become a successful businessman after playing college football. He also gave advice for any underclassman at BDHS, “See your future and do anything to make it happen.”

Talent is sometimes hard to find. However, in Jake’s case, his talent is impossible to miss. Being one of the best players in the region is an accolade one can only dream of. Hopefully, Jake will continue to show his talent in college and have a successful future.
