In a wild year, rattled by COVID, the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated Ohio St. by the score of 52-24 in the 2021 National Championship game.

Alabama entered the year determined, after a loss last year in the national championship game to LSU. The Crimson Tide had an outstanding roster this year, with two of the top three receivers in the class, however they were not quite sure what quarterback would start for them. A five star freshman or an unproven senior, they went with Mac Jones a senior who had yet to play a game with the team despite being on the roster there for three years.

Mac Jones did everything to prove himself as the starter, he had an outstanding year and is now a projected first round pick in this years upcoming NFL draft. Mac Jones recorded record stats this year, throwing for 4,036 yards, posted 36 touchdowns, and threw only four interceptions.

Jones did not just make a name for himself but made a name for Senior Wide Receiver, Devonta Smith. Smith won the 2021 Heisman trophy award, awarded to the best collage football player for that CFB season, and was the first non-qb to receive the award since 2015. Smith recorded record numbers as well, 1,641 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Entering today’s college football final game, Alabama was the clear favorite and they did not disappoint. Mac Jones with an unbelievable game, posted 400 plus yards and five touchdowns. Jones of course found his favorite target, Devonte Smith, three times in the end zone. A game dominated by a sessional Alabama offense, that may just go down as the best offense in CFB history, gave Bama coach, Nick Saban his seventh CFB championship win.
